Numerical Modeling in the Environmental Process Simulation for Pile Soil Interaction
Due to the rapid advances in computer technology, numerical modeling and simulation shows powerful tools in the analysis for civil engineering, especially in the field of pile foundation. In order to numerical simulate the pile soil interaction to study the mechanical deformation characteristic of soil and pile, the numerical software FLAC3D is used to simulate the procedure of pile being loaded in the soil. In the simulation, the soil consists of two types, the less consolidated soil and normal consolidated soiL Piles interact with the gnd via shear and normal coupling springs. The behavior of the shear coupling springs is identical to the shear behavior of a grouted cable. After calculation, the mechanical characteristic of pile, response of soil are analyzed, the corresponding skin fnction stress and axial stress distribution of pile are obtained both the negative skin friction stress and positive skin friction stress are studied as well as the vertical displacement of soil wbose result can give some guidance for the further study.
