Effect of Gas Flow Rate on Nitrogen Oxides Removal by Barrier Discharge
Two groups of different gas flow rate experiments were conducted with a benchtop concentric cylinder dielectric barrier discharge reactor to investigate how the change of the gas flow rate affects the effectiveness of dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) treatment flue gas pollutants. Results show that the gas flow rate has little influence on nitrogen oxides removal effectiveness when the input energy density is identicaL Thus when dealing with relatively high gas flow rates, the residence time neednt be worried too much, if the equipment could deposit enough energy into the gas.
