Investigation of Slant Visibility

Slant visibility is an important parameter in many atmospheric applications. However, little work has been done oii the theoretical analysis of slant visibility due to iB complexity. In this paper, an expression of slant visibility is derived through δ-Eddington approximation of the radiative transfer equation. Extensive computations are carried out and the effects of some factors related to slant visibdity are discussed.
