The Research on Affecting Factors of CO Concentration in Propellant Combustion Gas

The affecting factors of CO concentration in propellant combustion gas have been researched and tested by the methods of theoretical calculation and experimental determination. Minimum free energy method was applied in theoretical calculation and the static test of closed bomb- gas chromatography was used in the later method. When the oxygen balance changed from -23.074% to +9.226%, the CO concentration reduced 41.5284%. The experimental results show that the CO concentration in combustion gas can reduce by improving the oxygen balance of propellant and there is a similar linear relationship between the CO concentration and the oxygen balance of propellant
