Numerical Prediction of Flow Noise of a Body of Revolution with Stern Appendages
The radiated far-field noise is predicted using the Ffowcs Williams and Hawkings (FW-H) surface integral method and Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes equations (RANS) with realizable K~? model. The effect of the choice of FW-H integration surface on the far-field noise predictions is studied. And also the characteristics of the far-field radiated noise is analyzed. Based on these calculations and result validations, it can be concluded that the proposed method is practical for jet flow noise prediction.
