An Architecture of Information Retrieval towards the Semantic Web
the World Wide Web plays a very important role in an integral part of most societies today. Without any doubt, the WWW has been one of the fastest growing and most pervasive phenomenons in history. Hence, it is natural to retrieve information from it and web search engines have become one of most used application in Internet Unfortunately, the unstructured nature and huge volume of information accessible over networks have made it hard for users to sift through and find relevant in formation. In order to address this issue, the web semantic has been proposed. Research show that the semantic web will be the next generation web and the information retrieval towards at semantic web will play an important role in outs dairy life. In this paper we explore information retrieval (IR) towards the semantic web and propose a conceptual architecture for semantic web information retrieval systems. The architecture includes semantic web, agents, information retrieval engine. In addition, the key techniques of the system are discussed in details
