Discussion on the Calculation Methods for Antennas Initial Alignment in the SOTM
In order to rapid communication between earth stations in satellite communications on the move (SOTM)system, the calculation methods of antennas initial alignment which is one of the key technologies is studied. The earths actual shape is ellipsoid and the spread of satellite signals is influenced by atmospheric refraction, so the azimuth angle and elevation angle are modified. Using these modified angles in initial antennas pointing, system response is accelerated and good initial position is provided for the following tracking process.
