Mastering the Master Schedule
(0) From its conception to its current state, the Global Understanding course has come a long way in bridging the divide between different cultures all across the world. In the summer of 2003, two people set out to fill a void growing on college campuses caused by students increasing misconceptions about people from cultures other than their own. When the course began linking three countries at a time in January of 2004,we had one class with 10 very eager students and three international partners who were ready to change the world. At this stage,there was no way one could foresee the possibilities that lay before us; the potential to change the hearts and minds of college students across the globe. This road has by no means been an easy one and we have had to conquer many challenges along the way. But each one has been a positive experience and has taught us a lot and helped us to grow. Of these experiences, the one that sticks out as being the most significant and important is creating and maintaining the master schedule.
