Thinking Globally and Utilizing the Perceptual Lens: Experiences of an African American Instructor and Chinese Student in a Global Educational Program
This paper examines the experiences of an Afri can American instructor and a second-year Chinese student in a global educational program in Beijing, China. The reflections are discussed through theper ceptual lens of intercultural competence and commu nicative contexts in a global Educational Partnership Program. The focus of the paper states that when one comes from different cultures whether in business, politics, or in this matter, education, a new global language must be utilized for a successful interaction to take place.
