Panchromatic Spectral Energy Modeling of Starburst Galaxies
This paper summarizes the results of theoretical panspectral (far UV to mm) spectral synthesis of starburst galaxies. We show how these allow the extraction of the physical parameters of the starburst region - star formation rates, 8tar forma tion rate history, cluster mass, metallicity, dust attenuation and gas pressure. These techniques are applied to some well-known starburst galaxies and to data from the Spitzer Space Observatory.
