Sun-Earth Interaction:Potential Effects of Solar Activity and Related Geomagnetic Disturbances on Human Health State on the Earth (Middle Latitudes)
The Sun-Earth interaction processes and related space weather changes influence ground-based and space-borne technologies and pose a health and safety threat to living beings and all kinds of human activities. This paper describes recently obtained results of cross-disciplinary heliobiological studies (experimental and statis tical) carried out in Azerbaijan in collaboration with colleagues from countries with purposes of revealing possible effects of space weather changes (through direct and in direct indicators of solar, geomagnetic and cosmic ray variability influence) on human beings cardiovascular, physiological and psychoemotional health state in middle lati tudes. General conclusions, based on results of original researches are outlined. Effects of severe and weak geomagnetic disturbances, latitudinal effects and solar extreme events impacts are described. One of major conclusions is that not only extremely high as well as very low level geomagnetic disturbances affect human cardio-health 8tate. Major and severe storms affect functionally healthy human brains bioelectrical activity negatively meanwhile weak and moderate storms cause stimulating effects. Varying geomagnetic activity accompanied by different levels of cosmic ray activity could be considered as one of regulating factors in human homeostasis.
