Physical Processes in Solar and Stellar Coronal Loops
Physical processes in coronal magnetic loops on the Sun and stars like particle acceleration, plasma heating, osciUations, and coronal mass ejection are con sidered. Paradoxes of particle acceleration mechanisms are discussed. Arguments in favor of acceleration in DC electric field are eiven We have shown that parametric resonance between loops and p-modes is a promising way to heat corona. A kink oscillation as a driver for ballooning instability of a loop is suggested.
