Observations of Soft X-ray and EUV Jets in a Coronal Hole

We examined three soft X-ray/EUV jets simultaneously observed by Hinode/XRT and the STEREO/EUVI telescopes, which occurred in a coronal hole (CH) on 2007 November 14. In the two different wave bands, the jets exhibited dis crepant morphological characteristics. The bright soft X-ray jets showed apparent collimated ejective structures, and their maximum projected lengths and average pro jected velocities were 5.1-8.0 x104 km and 58-204 km/s, respectively. The correspond ing dark EUV counterparts with very faint bright edges occurred later than the soft X-ray jets, about 4-9 minutes delay, and their projected lengths and average projected velocities were 1.9-2.2 x104 km and 27-161 km/s, respectively, much lower than soft X-ray jets. The three jets were closely associated with long-standing soft X-ray and EUV bright points, and were located on the mixed magnetic polarities regions, mean ing that the jets were probably associated with magnetic cancellation. The driven mechanism of the jets in the same CH appeared to have no differences with that of jets ejecting from the active and quiet-sun region, and could be explained by magnetic reconnection model.
