Binary Evolution and Blue Stragglers

摘要：

Much evidence shows that blue stragglers are relevant to primordial bina ries. Binaries may produce blue stragglers via mass transfer, coalescence of the two components, binary-binary collision or binary-single star collision. In this contribution, we summarized the linkage of binary evolution and blue stragglers, and described the characteristics of blue stragglers from different binary evolutionary channels.
