Population Synthesis of Cataclysmic Variable Star at Post Common-envelope Stage

In this paper we report our attempt in reproducing white-dwarf mass dis tribution of post common-envelope binaries (PCEBs) in cataclysmic variable systems, obtained recently from Sloan Digital Sky Survey. We perform Monte Carlo popula tion synthesis following standard scenario by directly following the binary evolutions. We include approximate post-Helium fiash (post-He) evolution for low mass primary stars. The only parameter we investigate in this paper is the Reimers stellar wind. The results show that the use of Reimers wind model in certain range of winds parameter reproduce observational white dwarf-mass distribution reasonably. The post-He evo lution is necessary for avoiding double peak distributions obtained by some authors.
