Rapid Progress of Massive Star Formation Study
Massive stars are essential players in the evolution and structure formation of galaxies, and they dominate the components of interstellar medium (ISM). How ever, their formation is not well-understood because of their complex forming regions and rapid evolutionary processes. Recent advancement of technology makes it possible to study them in depth and in detail. The studies of forming conditions and kinetic processes have developed quickly in recent years. In this short review, after a brief introduction of the history, we focus on searching of massive cores at different evolu tionary stages and probing of inflow motions during their formation. Related future work is also discussed.
