Optical Medium Resolution Spectroscopic Observation of NGC 1068
We carried out optical long-slit spectroscopy for the narrow-line region (NLR) of NGC1068 with medium spectral resolution (R=7,500-11,000) and compared profiles of several emission lines, OⅢ5007, Hβ, OⅠ6300 and FevⅡ6087 with high velocity resolution. By comparing the observations with photoionization models, we found the following results: l)the blueshifted components at the center are very dense, about 10s cm-3, 2)ionization parameters of the blueshifted components increase with increasing velocity from the systemic and 3)the most blueshifted component might be matter-bounded. We attempted to explain the velocity dependence of ionization parameter by the radiative acceleration model.
