SNOW@site Program at Nishi-Harima Astronomical Observatory

We introduce Nishi-Harima Astronomical Observatory (NHAO) and SNOW@site program. NHAO is a public observatory which performs astronomy and space science education for general visitors. It hosts the 2.O-m NAYUTA tele 8cope, which is the largest telescope in the world with which one can observe by the eyeballs. Furthermore the NAYUTA telescope is equipped with some instruments such as a optical imager and a spectrograph, and also has been used for scientific observa tions. We develop the programs to satisfy the results of both education and science. SNOW@site program is one of those programs to search supernovae with the partici pants together. The participants in SNOW@site program can operate the NAYUTA telescope and a imager, subsequently check images taken by themselves whether a su pernova is shown or not in those. It is also able for the participants to communicate with researchers about astronomy during this program. This program innovatively gives general visitors a chance of observations as a temporal astronomer for the pur pose of both education and science. It has a potential to bring a new discoverer of a supernova among participants as a matter of course.
