An Electronic Textbook with a Braille Book on Astronomy for Visually Handicapped Students
For the first time in Japan, we are developing an electronic astronomy textbook with a Braille book mainly for the university students. This textioook con tains more than 50 figures or pictures, which one can touch, associated with detailed audio and written explanations. A theme that we wish to emphasize in our textbook is that understanding the universe is equal to discovering ourselves. So it means that studying universe is significant for all people, regardless of handicapped or not handicapped.
