Operation of Service Quality System in Academic Libraries: A Case Study of Wuhan University of Technology Library
Providing readers with high quality information services is a forever subject for an academic library.Enhancing Total Quality Management in the academic library is not only the inevitable requirements of the era development, but also the urgent needs of scientific management of academic libraries.Using methods of document analysis and case study, this paper presents the operation of service quality system, taking Wuhan University of Technology Library(WHUTL) as example.Proposes that .enhancing Total Quality Management in the academic library is the way out of improving service quality. Discusses in detail the implication of Total Quality Management, the development of quality system documentation,the implementation of service quality system,and the auditting mechanism of quality system.etc.
