The Major Challenge and Trend of Decentralization and Fragmentation of High-tech Firms

With the internationalization of organizations all over the world, tranditional management methods appears to be out of date in high-tech firms and can not be matched the speed of globalization. In the 2009 Forbes Ranking, the developing speed of the first 25 high-tech firms reached 58% and the S&P Index increased by 80%.The reasons of their success lie mainly in the flexibility management with the change of market, which is a challenge for the tranditional management. According to the seemingly paradox whether to change the tranditional management, the essay tries to explain the major dilemmas of decentralization and fragmentation of organization and then gives evidence to the necessity of it under the circumstance of globalization in four parts: the development of the decentralization and fragmentation of the high-tech firms; the trend of decentralization and fragmentation of organization from the flexibility management in the high-tech firms; the problems emerging from the decentralization and fragmentation; the necessity of decentralization and fragmentation of high-tech firms.
