Marine Industry, Marine Economy and Economic Growth A Case Study of Zhejiang Province
At present the development of marine economy has become the strategy and carrier for breakthrough of resources restriction, transformation of development mode and advancement of industrial transformation and upgrading all over the world. In this paper the data of marine industry and marine economic gross output value in Zhejiang province (1998-2007) are applied to analyze the current industrial structure and dynamic change of Zhejiang marine industries with the help of the gray relational analysis. It concludes that there is consistency between Zhejiang marine economy and its development of marine industrial structure, and economic growth in Zhejiang has a positive correlation with its marine industries; and the sequence of relational degree reflects the trend and advanced evolution direction of the three developments of marine industrial structure. On the basis of this analysis, some suggestions are put forward for the construction of modern marine industrial system according to comparative advantage and location advantage of Zhejiang marine industries.
