The Integration of Multi-beam and Sub-bottom Profile Data Based on GIS and 3DSlicing Technology
According to the geospatial referential relationship of the marine geophysical data gathered from the same survey area, the author achieves 3D integration of the same area’s multi-beam and sub-bottom profile data in GIS by using survey line vector data as topological entities. The implementation of integration mainly utilizes the following functions in GIS, the supporting function of multi-kinds spatial data such as raster and vector, the powerful secondary development function, and the topology construction function of spatial data. The main procedures include pre-processing bathymetric data to get submarine DTM and creating 3D seafloor stratum slices by processing the subbottom profile data. And then achieves the 3D visual display of associations between multi-beam and sub-bottom profile by spatial topological relation in GIS. On the basis, the author also gives future prospects on the integration method and model of the multi-source marine geophysical data.
