EVALUATION ON APPLICATION PROPERTIES OF PENETRANT IN P-RC APMP MADE FROM ITALY POLAR
The energy consumption of chemimechanical pulp was very high, due to low dosage of chemicals and fibers separation mainly by refiners. In this study, effect of penetrant on pulping and pulp quality was discussed. Results showed that adding penetrant at the chemicals impregnation stage was suitable, but penetrant adding at the second-stage chemicals impregnation had disadvantage for brightness and hue. When the dosage of penetrant was 0.4%, for 45oSR, energy consumption decreased by 30kW/h. The bulk, opacity and brightness of P-RC APMP could be improved, but there was a disadvantage for physical strength.
