EFFECTS OF DIFFERENT FINES ON PROPERTIES OF HIGH YIELD PULP
The lower strength of the HYP restricted its further applications to the production of value- added paper products. - In order to impart the high bulk HYP with high strength, in this paper, a lower CSF PRC-APMP and NBKP wer used to mix with a higher CSF HYP and the properties of paper made from the mixture pulp was discussed. It was shown that, in comparison with the paper made from aspen PRC-APMP, the bulk of paper made from the mixed pulp is higher when the freeness of pulps was kept consistent, while the tensile strength of paper was affected by the composition of mixed pulp. When the CSF of mixture pulp made by mixing NBKP(CSF 56mL) with the PRC-APMP (CSF 725mL) was 490mL, the bulk of paper made from the mixture pulp was 3.22cm3/g and the tensile index was 16.37N.m/g.When the CSF of mixture pulp made by mixing HYP with the CSF of 54mL and 725mL was 490mL, the bulk of paper made from the mixture pulp was 3.35cm3/g and the tensile index was 13.41N.m/g. The bulk of paper made from aspen PRC-APMP was 2.88cm3/g and the tensile index was 14.50N.m/g at a 490mL CSF.
