A Parameter Estimation Method for A Multi-State Deteriorating System with Incomplete Information
Multi-state systems have received great attention recently in the area of reliability and maintenance. In mechanical equipment where random shocks and fatigue exist, the overall performance of the system deteriorates over time. This paper will focus on a type of multi-state system with continuous degradation, where the state of the system is not directly observable and only incomplete information is available through condition monitoring. In this paper, new training procedures will be introduced for parameter estimation of a multi-state system with continuous-time degradation. Finally, a numerical example will be used to evaluate the efficiency and the correctness of the proposed method.
