Optimal Preventive Maintenance Based on Warranty Policy
Imperfect preventive maintenance (PM) can reduce the failure rate of the system which makes the performance of system to a certain level between the conditions of as good as new and of as bad as old. It is assumed that the periodic PM is performed while a minimal repair is performed as soon as the system suffers a failure. By minimizing the expected cost during the warranty period, an optimal preventive maintenance policy for a deteriorating system is proposed in this paper for warranty is the main point of service of non-price competition in nowadays.
