Queueing Model of The Non-reliable Hybrid Data Transmission Channel with Heterogeneous Links
The paper presents a Markovian queueing system for the hybrid data transmission channel consisting of two links with different throughputs and usage costs. The servers are assumed to be non-reliable. The problem of the optimal allocation of customers between the servers is considered. The optimality of a threshold-based policy is proved. The system is described by a three-dimensional Markov process that can be treated as a QBD process with a large number of boundary states. We provide a stationary analysis and calculate the main performance and reliability measures.
