Distributions with Periodic Failure Rates and The Relevation Transformation

摘要：

The revelation transform for probability distributions and relevation of random variables, as originally defined by Krakowski in 1973, is discussed. Characterizations of the exponential, geometric and distributions were earlier obtained on the base of relevation transforms. Life time distributions with periodic failure rates also are recently noticed. In this article we show that relevation transform characterizes life time distributions with periodic failure rates too.
