Analysis of Software System Reliability Based on Time Domain Method

This paper proposes a novel analysis approach to software system reliability based on time seri ARMA (auto regression moving average) model or ARIMA (auto regressive integrated moving average) im* is employed to deal with failure numbers of software system occurred by time and the statistic characters of failure number series are represented. Failure numbers in a time interval is assumed to be the random varia subjected to the exponential distribution whose parameter can be obtained combining the mean value and variation of the failure number series model fitted. Thus, the reliability function of software system can obtained, and the time-varying reliability of software system can be evaluated. In the end, a numerical exam is given to verify the validity of the approach proposed in this paper.
