Application of 2D Barcode in Mobile Commerce
With the up-to-date technology, mobile phone reaches a low price and provides rich user experience at the same time. This situation helps mobile commerce getting its continuous growth, and improving our lives significantly. Nevertheless, the security issues are still peoples biggest concern for its opening communication channel. 2D barcode which is developed from ID barcode is famous for high information capacity and high read speed. As a result it is used in many business scenarios. In this paper, we have first detailed our study on 2 - dimensional barcode and its applications in mobile commerce. Then presented a novel mobile 2D barcode business model. This model provides distinct solutions to support buy-and-sale products with 2D barcode and guarantees the security of transaction as well.
