An Evaluation Scheme for Product-Service System Models
This paper proposes an evaluation scheme for productservice system (PSS) models and focuses on constructing evaluation criteria. The proposed scheme has a four-layered hierarchical structure consisting of perspectives, dimensions, categories, and aspects. The sustainability and customer value perspectives are also considered. The sustainability perspective consists of the 3P (i. e. , profit, planet, and people) dimensions, while the customer-value perspective consists of quality and cost dimensions. Each dimension is further classified into categories, and more detailed aspects about these are explained. The set of criteria consists of 5 dimensions, 22 categories, and 96 aspects. The proposed PSS evaluation scheme is demonstrated and validated through a hypothetical case study in the automobile industry. The scheme can serve as an effective aid in evaluating and eventually improving future PSS models.
