MANAGEMENT OF FAILED INSTABILITY REPAIR IN SHOULDER
Is open surgery the gold standard for revision of failed glenohumeral stabilization? Open or arthroscopic does not matter! Whats important is to investigate the cause of failure, and address this during the revision surgery! Therefore, basically surgeons preference issue! My preference: arthroscopic revision after failed glenohumeral stabilization regardless of primary methods Easy access to the glenohumeral joint especially after preceding open surgeries Glenohumeral joint structure is well preserved despite extraarticular adhesion or scar formation caused by primary open surgery Precise repair of the glenohumeral pathology possible
