Shoulder Injuries in Overhead Sports Athletes
Injuries around shoulder joint are in most of the cases related to the overuse of the joint especially in the throwing athletes. The injury nature is chronic, repetitive, accumulation of microtrauma to the structure of the shoulder joint. The injury pattern is also related to the specific type of overhead sports involved. The injury is not confined to one structure. The most common injury pattern is a spectrum of injury in the superior labrum-rotator cuff.
