ANALYSIS ON THE CONNECTION MODES OF REGIONAL RAIL TRANSIT WITH URBAN RAIL TRANSIT
With the rapid development of urbanization in China, the spatial structure of metropolis has changed greatly and many urban agglomerations have fundamentally taken shaped. However, it still lack better transverse connection between many central cities and their peripheral cities or between the urban centres of metropolis and their peripheral areas. Therefore, many metropolises have been planning regional rail transit network that provide services for the entire metropolitan region in addition to urban rail transit network. Because of different technical features, function, operation mode and so on, how to integrate regional rail transit with urban rail transit effectively have important impact on the operation result of the entire rail network. First this paper makes a distinction between regional rail transit and urban rail transit. Then it analyzes the development mode of regional rail transit, different connection programs connecting modes of regional rail transit with urban rail transit. Eventually it puts forward that it need further study to realize appropriate and effective connection between urban rail transit and regional rail transit and adjust measures to local conditions to compile integrated rail transit planning.
