SUPPLY CHAIN VULNERABILITY MITIGATION STRATEGY The Role of Risk Management Culture
The significance of supply chains as a key element of competitive advantage is now commanding the attention of practitioners and academicians. In today’s complex and interdependent business environment, no company can rely on strategy developed from a single firm perspective to stay competitive. However, a supply chain has no solid structure like an individual organization. In supply chain management, strategy should focus on shared objectives and the cost-benefit trade-off in building an efficient and reliable structure incorporating vulnerability mitigation measures. The development of a supply chain risk management culture is considered essential as the influence of culture to mitigation strategy is significance. Congruence between organizational culture and strategies is believed to enhance organization performance.
