INFLUENCE OF DIFFERENT FACTORS ON THE ALKALINE DEGRADATION OF CELLULOSE
In this work, microcrystal cellulose (MCC) was used as model compound of cellulose to study the different factors on the alkaline degradation of cellulose. The results showed that the reaction temperature, the reaction time, the dosage of NaOH and different metal ions had varying degrees of effect on the alkaline degradation of MCC. The reaction degree of alkaline degradation of MCC increased with the increase of the reaction temperature, the reaction time, the dosage of NaOH, the dosage of metal ions respectively. K+ and Mg2+ had opposite impact on alkaline degradation of MCC. K+ could promote alkaline degradation of MCC while Mg2+ could inhibit alkaline degradation of MCC.
