BLEACHING OF MULBERRY BARK FIBER AND PREPARATION OF TEA BAG PAPER
The effects of single-stage and multi-stage bleaching using hypochlorite (H), hydrogen peroxide (P) and chlorine dioxide (D) on mulberry bark fiber were studied. The results showed that the DQP process using 4% chlorine dioxide, 0.2% chelating agent and 3% hydrogen peroxide yielded a pulp brightness of 70.10%ISO and the multi-stage bleaching of HH with a total effective chlorine of 20% produced a brightness of 65.47%ISO. Additionally, the beating and tea bag papermaking processes of mulberry bark fiber were investigated. The beating speed needed to be fast in order to cut the long fibers. The paper strength reached its peak at the beating degree of 59°SR, and the paper reached tea bag quality when the charge of the wet strength agent was 0.81%.
