FUNDAMENTALS OF PEROXIDE BLEACHING OF MECHANICAL PULPS

摘要：

Some recent advances in the application of hydrogen peroxide in increasing the brighness of mechanical pulps are reviewed in this paper. In chemi-mechanical pulping, a new alkaline peroxide mechanical pulping process (PRC-APMP) has evolved from the conventional APMP process, with significant improvement in pulp properties. Related to hydrogen peroxide bleaching of mechanical pulps, new developments have been observed, such as the hydrosulfite-assisted chelation process (the Qy process), the Pm peroxide bleaching process, the Mg(OH)2-based peroxide process, the OBA- assisted peroxide bleaching process.
