THE STUDY ON COLOR REDUCTION OF SEMI-CHEMICAL PULPING EFFLUENT USING TANNIN-BASED POLYMER
The color of effluent from semi-chemical pulping (SCP) is very difficult to treat.This novel treatment process is tannin-based polymer.The optimum conditions to obtain high efficiency of color removal were using 200 ppm tannin-based polymer The color of untreated effluent was dark,but it can be achieved up to 97% color removal,indicating that this process is a feasible and promising method to treat SCP effluent.
