Dynamical behaviour of periodic impulsive chemical control model with periodically switching pesticides

Pest resistance to pesticides, as one of the side effects associated with the use of chemicals, has received great attention in recent years. To address the effects of pesticide resistance on the dynamical behaviour of pest population in the chemical control, in this paper, we propose a periodic impulsive chemical control model with pesticide resistance and periodically switching the pesticide used, analyze the dynamical behaviour of the model by using the theory of impulsive differential equations, and then the threshold value 0 R which determines the dynamic behaviour of the model is provided. Furthermore, the effects of parameters on 0 R are studied by analytical and numerical methods and some useful criterions are obtained for the chemical control.
