An eco-epidemiological delay model for viral infection in phytoplankton zooplankton system
In this paper, a delayed model for viral infection in toxin producing phytoplankton (TPP) and zooplankton system is proposed and analyzed. It is assumed that the viral disease is spreading only among the prey species and the predator can feed both (susceptible and infected) prey. The discrete time delay due to gestation of zooplankton is considered. By analyzing the corresponding characteristic equations, the local stability of the equilibria is investigated. Furthermore, Hopf bifurcations occurring at the positive equilibrium under some conditions are obtained. Numerical simulations are used to show the complexity in the system.
