A Basic HBV Model with Immune Impairment and Cytokinemediated‘Cure’
In this paper a basic hepatitis B virus (HBV) model with impairment and cytokine-mediated ‘cure’ is studied. By Routh-Hurwitz criterion, the local stability of the infection-free, immune-free and infection steady states is analyzed. Sufficient conditions for the global stability of all the steady states are obtained by Lyapunov functions. It is also shown that the system is perm nent as long as the infection equilibrium exists.
