Global behaviors of a hepatitis B and C viral infection model with spontaneous cure of infected hepatocytes
This paper deals with a hepatitis B and C viral infection model with spontaneous cure of infected hepatocytes. The basic reproduction number of HBV/HCV, which characterizes the extinction and persistence of infection, is obtained. By constructing the Lyapunov function, we prove that the infection free equilibrium of the system is globally stable when the basic reproduction number is less than or equal to 1, and that the unique infection equilibrium of the system is globally stable when the basic reproduction number is greater than 1.
