Global Analysis of a HBV Infection Model
Mathematical models have been used to understand the factors that govern infectious disease progression in viral infections. Many HBV model were based on the basic virus infection model (BVIM) introduced by Zeuzem et al. and Nowak et al. Recently, BVIM has been modified by using standard incidence. But both the BVIM and the modified models seldom consider the loss term of viral particles when it enters the target cells. In this paper, based on a modified BVIM, we formulated a new HBV model, which not only consider the loss of viral particles when it enters the target cells, but also the non-cytolytic loss of infected cells. Global stability analysis of infection-free equilibrium and endemic equilibrium were also given.
