Global stability analysis of a SIR epidemic model with nonlinear incidence rate
In this paper, an SIR epidemic model with nonlinear incidence rate is investigated. Mathematical analyses firstly establish the existence of equilibria of the model. Secondly, by using simple change of variables, the model is transformed into a Lieard equation. Finally, by using Lieard equation and constructing Lyapunov direct method, sufficient conditions are established for the global stability of the infection-free and endemic equilibria in this model.
