An impulsive epidemic model with two parallel infectious stages and time delays
Abstract. Pulse vaccination is an important and effective strategy for elimination of infectious diseases. Inthis paper, an impulsive SIR epidemic model with two parallel infectious stages and time delays is proposed.By using the Floquet theorem and comparison theorem, we obtain that the infection-free periodic solution isglobally attractive when R1<1and R2<1,while the system is permanent when R1>1and R2>1.Ourresults indicate that a large pulse vaccination rate is an important factor for the extinction of the disease.
