Dynamical behavior of a SIR pulse vaccination model with saturated incidence
A SIR pulse vaccination model with saturated incidence is studied in the paper. We obtain theperiodic infection-free solution of the epidemic model by using stroboscopic map. Further, Using Floquettheorem and comparison theorem we prove that the periodic infection-free solution is globally stable underappreciate conditions. In order to eradicate the disease by pulse vaccination, the maximum vaccinationperiod max is shown. Theoretical results show that pulse vaccination is more effective than conventionalstrategies in leading to disease eradication at relatively low values of vaccination.
