Numerical Research on Rotor Vane Number and Angle of the Vortex Vacuum Pump

This issue presents a horizontal dry high vacuum pump and carried out a series of simulations with FLUENT software. The internal flow and work performance were investigated under different number of blades and different direction of leaning vanes on the rotors. The results showed that different blades greatly influenced the pumping performance,which should be decided by actual sizes. Specifically,this issue selected the best number as forty-three after calculating and optimizing. In the investigations of angles,impellers with none leaning vanes were the best after simulation and comparisons.
