Simplified Adaptive Smoothing Filter for Face Recognition

摘要：

This paper presents a new illumination normalization method for face recognition under various lighting conditions. While it results in similar performance as other optimal methods, through finding the discontinuity efficiently, simplified adaptive smoothing filter allows significant reduction in the computational time.
